Celebrity mom and Grammy Award-winning artist Monica, 2014 Georgia Teacher of the Year Jemelleh Coes, and Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School founder Omar Wasow will participate in a solution-oriented panel discussion focused on community involvement and a shared commitment to the future of America’s children. The event will unite parents, teachers and community leaders in an effort to make a real impact on education in our school systems.
“At Box Tops for Education, we believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. We are thrilled to be able to rally the community behind our purpose and talk about ways to ensure that children receive the best education possible,” said marketing manager Tsubasa Tanaka.
With Box Tops for Education, parents and the community-at-large can make a real difference in our children’s education. In 2012, Atlanta’s Beecher Hills Elementary School raised enough money to purchase orchestra uniforms for students. This year, the school is raising funds to launch a new hands-on Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) lab.
