Second Baptist Church, located at 108 W. 12th Ave., in Homestead, hosted its 109th Church Anniversary Celebration. The theme was “We’ve Come This Far By Faith,” Pastored by Rev. Donald P. Turner.
“Praising the Lord in Song” was also a theme of the special event; with emphasis on ACTS 16:5, which states, “And so were the churches established in the faith.”
The afternoon program featured church choirs, The Trinity Choir, The Male Chorus and The Gospelites. The choirs were under the direction of Minister John Burwell.
