Sweethearts Week
FEB. 18—Living Waters International Church, 337 Shaw Ave., Clairton, Pa., will host its annual Founders Appreciation with a Sweethearts Week at 11 a.m. The weeklong event, which runs through Feb. 21, will include guest preachers Pastor Andre Mitchell, Pastor Willie Thompson, Bishop Kenneth Crumb, Pastor Derrick Johnson, Pastor Kenneth Irvin and Bishop Edward Shouse. Black History Month Program
FEB. 21—SeaStorn Sports & Entertainment Group Inc. will host a Black History Month Program, “Lessons of Life” from 2-6 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 3415 Ligonier St., Pittsburgh. The event will feature internationally renowned author and African American historian Clenora Hudson-Weems and special guest Aubrey Bruce, sports columnist for the New Pittsburgh Courier. Soul Food Dinner Sale
FEB. 22—The Finance Committee of St. Paul AME Church, 1350 Locust St., McKeesport, will host a Soul Food Dinner Sale from 12-5 p.m. Dinners will include a choice of chicken, ham, pig feet, ribs or turkey, plus various sides. Black History Musical Concert
FEB. 22—The C.H. Foggie/Allegheny AMEZ Conference Choir will host its Annual Black History Month Musical Choir at 4 p.m. at Homewood AMEZ Church, 724 N. Homewood Ave., Homewood. There will be rehearsals on Feb. 20-21 for the annual concert, followed by a dinner after the last rehearsal. Black History Program
FEB. 22—The Rachel Randall Education Department of Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty, will host its Annual Black History Program at 6 p.m. The theme is “Celebration of the Arts representing our rich culture with music, dance and drama-‘connecting the past and the future.’” Catherine Wallace Collins, renowned Opera soloist, and Alma Speed Fox, civil rights activist, will be the evening’s special honorees. Pastoral Anniversary/Prayer Breakfast
FEB. 28—Triedstone Baptist Church, 18 Harriet St., Rankin, will host its 11th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration and Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. The anniversary will celebrate the service of pastor Nathaniel Pennybaker and Rev.
