Freedom Sunday
    MAY 3—The NAACP Pittsburgh Branch will host its Freedom Sunday Service at 4 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, 2720 Webster Ave., Hill District. The keynote speaker will be Minister Sammie J. Dow, NAACP national youth director. The program will also feature actress Kim El and Minister Deryck Tines and the Citywide Gospel Choir. The event is free and open to the public. Mother’s Day Brunch
    MAY 9—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host its Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be Minister Teresa Renee Hunt, the author of “Positioned to Be Found.” All are welcome.  There will also be a bookselling of Min. Women’s Conference
    MAY 15—The Women’s Ministry of Bethlehem Baptist, 716 Walnut St., McKeesport, will host its Women’s Conference. The three-day event will include a Praise and Worship Night featuring Zanella Wingfield and the Women’s Conference Choir on May 15 at 7 p.m.; a Conference Luncheon featuring Dr. Lisa Weah on May 16 at 11 a.m.; and a Worship Service on Mat 17 at 10:30 a.m., featuring Pastor Earlene Coleman. Health Fair/Blood Drive
