“She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.” This verse from Proverbs 31:22 graced the cover of the invite and the program for the Homewood AMEZ Church‘s Annual Tea on April 25.

The afternoon was a beautiful day for ladies to fellowship and wear their beautiful hats. The late Hattie Watts was acknowledged for the inspirational program that was enjoyed during the tea. Hats by Design, led by  mother-daughter duo Diane Turner and Renee Lee, featured their creative hats that were surprisingly made of paper.  Turner designs the hats while Lee completes the unique headpieces. The hats have been a hit as centerpieces and on display at numerous luncheons. Many of the ladies, including yours truly, tried the hats on and modeled them for the crowd.
