
The C. Delores Tucker Award was presented to Marimba Milliones by City Councilman R. Daniel Lavelle. Milliones is president and CEO of the Hill District CDC who understands the importance of affecting political and social change to improve the region.

The primary goals of the ACDC Black Caucus is to encourage active participation in the democratic process through education, messaging and getting out the vote for the Democratic Party and to strengthen the voting infrastructure of the African American community.

Brenda Tate, ACDC Black Caucus Chairwoman organized the luncheon and along with the honorable Jack Simmons made the appeal for the NEED Scholarship. The goal of this year’s ACDC luncheon was to raise funds for NEED. NEED is the oldest community-based, nonprofit, minority, higher education assistance program in Pennsylvania.
