I think my daddy James Norrell would have been a great contestant on “Chopped.” He could have taken the ingredients in one of those baskets and turned it into a fantastic meal. I think he would like these cooking shows that are so popular right now and I know he would like the Home and Garden channel, HGTV.
If your father is still living and if you know your father acknowledge your father on Father’s Day and every day. Take your dad to a movie or dinner or do whatever he likes to do. If you have been estranged from your father because of something someone else told you about your father perhaps you should do a little investigation and find out the real story. I think it is so unfair when the child is used as a pawn also when the mother tells the child negative things about the father and the father does the same about the mother. The child wants to love both parents and does not want to get involved in your mess.
I always think it is so odd that Mother’s day is so important and that Father’s Day is sometimes minimized. It takes both to produce the child. If you are fortunate enough to have either parent or both celebrate them and if your parents are in their golden years and there are things you want to know about them or your family ask those questions now. It may soon be too late.
