Tomorrow, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. ET, Representative Ro Khanna will hold a “Benefits Over Billionaires” town hall at the Teamsters Local 728 Union Hall at 2540 Lakewood Ave SW, Atlanta, GA. Rep. Khanna will be joined by Georgia State Representative Ruwa Romman, progressive leader Nina Turner, and local leaders and advocates.
Rep. Khanna is going to districts across the country that are key to winning back the House in 2026 to stand up to the unholy alliance of wealth and power and reject the failed economic policies that put billionaires and corporations over the working class.
“Democrats need to be in every state right now calling out the Republican cuts to Medicaid. That includes Georgia and communities across the South. When we show up, we can’t just talk. We need to listen to people and understand how the system has failed them. Our party needs a rebirth and a new vision for a working-class agenda. I call it a new economic patriotism,” said Rep. Khanna
The town hall will include a Q&A with Rep. Khanna and remarks from local leaders and those directly hurt by Trump’s mass firings and the cuts to Medicaid and benefits in the Republican budget.
Rep. Khanna and the speakers will be available for interviews.
